NOTFAIR 2010

    curated by Tony Lloyd, Ashley Crawford & Sam Leach was a hugely successful exhibition. The selection of the carefully nominated works shown in this exhibition was made without regard to renown or alignment with fashionable dealers, but individual merit, artistic creativity and a conceptually stimulating presentation. It began, and at heart remains, a humble affair. A free space had become available at the same time as the behemoth of the Melbourne Art Fair. Why not hold a show with a few artists who, for a mixture of reasons, weren’t going to make it into the Royal Exhibition Buildings? (via Sweet Creative | Publication | NOTFAIR)
